Hello I am Tahlia Skanderup! Ever since I can remember, I have grown up with animals, from as small as a hamster to as big as a horse and everything in between. I come from a family of nine people and am in the middle with three older and three younger siblings. I live in a beautiful house with my partner and our fur baby, Aurora. Aurora is a two-year-old border collie X that my partner and I rescued at six weeks old. She is the stereotypical “high energy” Collie who would run forever. She loves her people and cuddles. I volunteered alongside many animal rescues in high school, working with dogs with behavioural issues. I found a love for helping dogs and soon shadowed my dog trainer, who specialized in reactive dogs and learned how to help them and read their body language. I am a dog boarder, and many dogs don’t do well in a kennel environment. The goal in allowing dogs into my home is to bring routine back into their life during a stressful time away from their family.
Just some simple rules:
- I will not take female dogs during their heat cycle
- Dogs must be fully vaccinated if one years old or older
- If boarding puppies they must have their first round of shots, or at least their Parvo Vaccine
